Humblefish Project

Beachy branding for social good.

The Humblefish project needed a complete visual identity for its launch in 2020. The goal was to create a brand that evoked all the joy of a carefree day at the beach, and that was iconic enough to grace beloved water bottles and journals in sticker form. Humblefish project sells fair-trade bracelets handmade by Balinese artisans and donates a portion of profits to Lifesong for Orphans, so a hopeful message of social good was also a key part of creating the brand's presence and personality.

The Logo

Humblefish Project had already decided that they wanted their name, Bali, and the word "Malu" (meaning "Peace") included in their logo. Since this was non-negotiable, the challenge was to create a design that would feel balanced—not cluttered. The final iteration took inspiration from a postmark to evoke a sense of travel and adventure. The full brand guide PDF can be downloaded here.
